Feldenkrais is a subtle yet powerful through-the-body movement approach that can improve everyday function. Workshops can improve posture, balance and coordination, breathing, and increase vitality. Everybody could with some of that!
Group workshops are known as Awareness Through Movement, they take place in groups with the Practitioner taking students verbally through a series of slow, gentle sequence of movements, bringing your awareness to your internal sensations to create new movement possibilities.
Feldenkrais can support recovery from aches, pains and injuries, and can have a positive impact on overall emotional and physical wellbeing.
Breathing is a powerful yet subtle everyday function which supports all parts of life. As the continuous ebb and flow of our breathing requires movement from the lungs, ribs, diaphragm and abdomen, this workshop will invite deeper connections between the different parts of ourselves as we breathe. We’ll work in lying as we explore our intrinsic patterns of breathing.
Workshops are at the Yoga Point, Brixton, south London. Cost: £30/25 concession and is payable in cash or by card on the day. Time: 2-5pm with a break. Mats are provided at the studio. The space has level access and is suitable for all wheeling types. PAs welcomed. Please contact me for details.
